Italian star Chiara Nasti is thrilled to show off her new clothing collection to the world. Nasti, 25, shared a reel of herself lounging in a butterfly bathing suit, holding half a coconut. Nasti uses resistance bands as part of her workouts. "Any fitness professional will tell you that you can get a full-body workout simply by using a resistance band," says Amanda Bireline, Fitness Center Manager at the National Institute for Fitness and Sport. "From biceps to triceps, back to chest, glutes to quads, and everything in between, using a band will change the idea of using 200 items to get in a full workout!"
Nasti continued using light dumbbells throughout her pregnancy. "For most pregnant women, at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise is recommended on most, if not all, days of the week," says the Mayo Clinic. "Strength training is OK, too, as long as you stick to relatively low weights."
Nasti is Italian to the core—she loves pasta dishes. "The issue with carbs is that people consume them in mass quantities," says Northwestern Medicine. "A serving of cooked pasta is 3-4 ounces, or roughly the size of your palm, so try to keep that in mind next time you're dishing out spaghetti."
Nasti is a big fan of fresh fruit as a snack. Fruits are an excellent alternative to sugary desserts, and are packed with essential nutrients including potassium and folate. "Fruit such as blueberries, cranberries, strawberries and citrus also contain phytochemicals that are being studied for their added health benefits," says the Dairy Council of California.
Nasti loves eggs and avocado with crusty bread. "Avocados also are rich in potassium, fiber, and vitamins B, E, and C," says UT Southwestern Medical Center. "In addition to improving heart health by impacting your levels of cholesterol, new research indicates that avocados may further improve your heart health by impacting the gut biome."
