During his much anticipated interview on the Joe Rogan Experience, Kanye West got candid about his plans to become the president, stating that he thinks it is his ‘calling!’ Here is what the rapper had to say about his political ambitions and more!
As you probably know, Kanye West is running for POTUS as an independent candidate and while it does not seem like he has a lot of chances of winning against Donald Trump and Joe Biden, he still believes that he is meant to, one day, become the ‘leader of the free world’.
The rapper did not hold anything back during the 3 hours long chat with Joe Rogan, even revealing that his ‘calling’ from God came to him while he was in the shower one day.
As for why he is the perfect man for the job, Ye dished that ‘There couldn’t be a better time to put a visionary in the captain’s chair. I am not here to down Trump or down Biden, I am just here to express why God has called me to take this position. I am a great leader because I listen and I am empathetic. I do believe in world peace.’
Aside from his political aspirations, the artist talked about the music industry as well, since he has been clapping back at some negative things within it.

Kanye argued that ‘I’m not at war with the music industry. I’m just saying we need to innovate. When I posted my contracts, I had ten contracts that kept putting me inside a labyrinth and things we don’t need. Prince would say we don’t need the distribution part. I’m the kind of person where I’m not trying to eliminate anyone’s job. There’s a way both parties can be happy. These deals can be flipped in a way that they’re just more fair.’
