Lindenberg Lindley Hotel Review, Frankfurt

The upbeat restaurant, Leuchtendroter, is the casual little sister of local Michelin-starred vegan sensation Seven Swans, offering healthy, inventive vegetarian cuisine based around produce cultivated at the hotels own permaculture project in the nearby Taunus mountains; signature dishes include truffle gnocci and celery spaghetti but there are always new surprises on the menu.

The small bakery next to reception offers freshly baked pastries and breads, as well as snacks, sandwiches and top-notch coffee, while up on the fifth floor, wines, spirits and cocktails are served in the Marmion Bar, which has an extra private level accessed by an attractive winding staircase. Breakfast options are à la carte, and include cheeses and honey from local producers, and omelette with wild herbs, fried eggs and hash browns, and cereals and pancakes.

There are also two excellently equipped community kitchens (with islands, bar stools, refrigerators, dining table), an interactive Wednesday cooking session with guests in the main restaurant,  and a plant-filled rooftop terrace area where drinks and food can be enjoyed.
