Jessica Mulroney has shut down claims that she registered the website sussexglobalcharities.com on February 19th through her charity The Shoebox Project on behalf of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Mulroney posted a statement on Twitter to make it clear that she was not affiliated with the organization that purchased the domain.
“If certain investigative journalists were to do their jobs, perhaps they would see that Shoebox Project Foundation is owned by a Mr Roy in North Carolina and has no affiliations or ties to our charity The Shoebox Project. Happy Sunday,” Mulroney tweeted on Sunday.

The confusion started after Harry and Meghan agreed to drop the Sussex Royal brand over the Queen’s objections to the couple using the world “royal.” The couple removed their trademark applications that they had filed for Sussex Royal. And, late last week, they released an update on their website about their plans to create a new “non-profit entity” instead of starting a foundation.
“As shared in early January on this website, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not plan to start a ‘foundation,’ but rather intend to develop a new way to effect change and complement the efforts made by so many excellent foundations globally,” the website stated.
Harry and Meghan made it clear on their website that The Monarchy and Cabinet Office do not have any jurisdiction over the use of the word “royal” overseas. However, they no longer plan to use Sussex Royal or any iteration of the word “royal” in any territory after their transition in the spring.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are stepping down as senior members of the royal family, and a 12-month review period was put in place as the couple seek employment and money-making opportunities outside of the royal family.
According to People magazine, Prince Harry will retain the ranks of Major, Lieutenant Commander and Squadron Leader during the 12-month period. He will not be using his honorary military positions, but those positions won’t be filled until after the review is complete. Harry will also keep his current position of sixth in line to the British throne.
