According to a report from Us Weekly, Simon Konecki and Adele had to separate…and for a good reason. A source who spoke with the outlet claims the couple broke up actually around 8-9 months ago, despite sharing a 6-year-old child named Angelo.
The insider told the outlet that Simon and Adele, due to their relationship with the child, had become more like “friends than lovers,” and they realized the romantic interest was simply no longer there. Both parties are “disappointed” that their relationship didn’t last, the insider added.
Other sources explained the stresses that come with parenthood played a crucial role in their relationship’s demise. In the beginning stage, everything was great between them, but tensions arose in their dealings with the child, primarily, with the correct way of going about raising him.
Back in January 2012, Adele went public with her romance to the 45-year-old. They had a child nine months later and got married in a private ceremony in December 2016. Nobody even knew that Adele was married until she mentioned it one day in passing while accepting an accolade at an awards ceremony.
Fans knew it was serious and official when the singer-songwriter referred to him as her “husband.” Interestingly, Simon has been with the singer for much of her career.

However, Simon does have a daughter from another relationship with Clary Fisher. In a statement to Us Weekly on the 19th of April, he announced that he and Adele had broken up. While they had chosen to go their separate ways, they’re focused on raising their child amicably.
