Paris, the granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the American hotelier and the founder of the Hilton Hotels chain, became one of the most famous ‘it’ girls of the new Millennium as a result of her wild partying, extravagant lifestyle and celebrity friends.
In 2003, Hilton and her childhood best friend Nicole Richie, landed their own reality tv show ‘The Simple Life’ which saw the pair undertake manual, low-paying jobs such as cleaning rooms, farm work, serving meals in fast-food restaurants, and working as camp counselors.
The Simple Life ran for 5 seasons until it was cancelled in 2007.
From there Paris has managed to keep herself busy releasing a pop album, starring in movies such as ‘The Hottie And The Nottie’ and ‘House Of Wax’, launched several fashion lines and perfumes and opened her own ‘Paris Hilton’ stores.
